About PURSU Ministries
PURSU Ministries — Knowing for all people.
What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. ~ 2Timothy 2:2
Every generation inherits the same Truth. Every generation must rediscover it, re-establish it, and pass it on. Truth doesn't necessarily trend — but every generation needs it just the same.
PURSU Ministries is built on that conviction.
There is a moment every believer experiences — a quiet restlessness, when you realize that following Jesus has led you to more than Sunday morning attendance. There is something for you to do, a "you-something", a thing that only you are called to do. You feel it. You might not know what it is or what to do with it.
PURSU Ministries exists for that moment.
We believe that theology — the practice of knowing God in an organized and faithful way — is not the hallowed grounds of theologians, seminary graduates, and famous pastors. It is the birthright of every believer in every culture in every generation. John 17:3 tells us that knowing God is eternal life. That means theology is not an academic exercise. It is the most fundamental and vital pursuit of every human being, God's Image Bearer, who has ever drawn breath.
And it belongs to all people.
For too long the church we love has driven a wedge between relationship and religion, between knowing God and practicing faith. The result has been a generation of believers with warm hearts and shallow roots — passionate but unmoored, sincere but unequipped.
PURSU is not doing something new. We are doing something whole. We know that Christianity is both a relationship AND a religion — and recovering that wholeness is the work of every generation, including ours. We provide encouragement and resources. You bring the passion.
Right now our main project is equipping pastors and church leaders in rural Uganda to shepherd their flocks well, protect their people from false teaching, and multiply faithful men who will teach others also. And this is only one of many projects.
But it doesn't end there. It also means you. In your neighborhood. In your fellowship. In your sphere of influence.
Wherever your you-something leads — we want to walk with you.
This is PURSU. Come PURSU with us.
